MONTGOMERY, George Earl "Monty" - Passed in the Woodstock Hospital on Sept. 24th, 2016 at the age of 91. He was born Jan. 22, 1925 in Galt, Ontario to the late Owen and Edith Montgomery (nee Geddes). George is predeceased by his first wife Helen (nee Powers). A WWII Veteran, George served 20 years in the RCAF first as a wireless air gunner and then in telecommunications. He was an auto mechanic by trade but enjoyed working as a fix-it guy. In his later years he spent time jewelry wrapping, sewing and cross stitching. He will forever be known for his sense of humor, his love of life, and his "Georgeisms." Loving husband to Chris Kinney and wonderful father to Susan Montgomery (Terry), Pat Brinkhof (Joe), George Montgomery, Ruth Montgomery, Betty Van Santen (Chris), three stepchildren George Kinney, Gene Kinney (Sharyn) and Scott Kinney (Sue) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Chalet in Braemar Valley RV Park 495856 10th Line, Woodstock, ON. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The War Amps of Canada or to the charity of your choice. Forever remembered - Forever missed - Forever loved
