HARWOOD, Donald J. - Peacefully with the love of his family by his side at the Woodstock Hospital, on Monday, October 24th, 2016. Beloved husband of Maxine Gail (nee Swance) Harwood. Cherished father of Deb Simpson (John Lively) and Lori Blackburn. Loved grandfather of Johnathan Simpson, Jordan Nieuwhof, Leanne Nieuwhof, Partick Simpson and loving godfather of Jesse Park. Dear brother of Geraldine Ross and Gary Harwood (Hazel). Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Margaret (nee Chesney) Harwood, brothers Russ and Sam Harwood and by his brother-in-law Bruce Ross. Don was employed at the ORC for over 35 years, and was a longtime member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association (Navy Club), the Innerkip Oak Branch Masonic Lodge #261, A.F&A.M. as well as the Oxford Hunt Club. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 1-2pm at the BROCK & VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 2pm with the Rev. Bonnie Pilkey officiating. Interment in the Innerkip Cemetery.
