Steinman, Shirley (Died)

STEINMAN, Shirley - 87, of Stratford and formerly of Tavistock passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. She was born in Hamilton on July 1, 1929 a daughter of J. Leslie Rogers and the former Agnes Woodburn. Shirley had been a switchboard operator supervisor with Bell Canada. When living in Tavistock she was a member of Grace United Church and since residing in Stratford was a member of St. James' Anglican Church. She married Clarence J. "Hap" Steinman on March 21, 1959. He predeceased her on April 30, 2002. Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and David Pellow of Georgetown, Grand Cayman Island, B.W.I.; three grandchildren, Adam Pellow and fiancée Jackie Sontag, Alexandra and husband Jason Smith and Matthew Pellow; three great-grandchildren, Logan Smith, Maverick Smith and Cooper Smith along with many nieces, nephews and their families. She had been predeceased by several "Steinman" brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Relatives and friends will be received in the FRANCIS FUNERAL HOME , 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Thursday from 2 -4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Grace United Church, Tavistock on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mary Stewart will officiate. Interment in Grace United Cemetery. Reception following.
