PETERS, Alma Beatrice - Formerly of Mt. Elgin passed away peacefully with family members at her side in her 101st year, on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 after a long and wonderful life. Predeceased by husband Ralph (1974), her sisters Gladys, Maud, Mattie, Ruth and brother Edward. Alma will be sadly missed by sister Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Kenny of St. Thomas, sons, Glenn (Rita) of London, Kenneth (Gloria) of Ingersoll, Terry of London, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Formerly active with the Mt. Elgin Women’s Institute and Mt. Elgin United Church. Former janitor of Mt. Elgin Public School, former employee of Goodlett’s Grocery/Tillsonburg and former volunteer at the Mt. Elgin Community Centre. Alma has been a resident of Glendale Crossing Seniors Home in London since September 2010. Always remembered for her loving nature, well-kept home, flowers and the variety of birds which visited her feeders in Mt. Elgin and at Glendale Crossing. A very heart felt “Thank You” to the staff of Glendale Crossing for their years of care and support, and to her special friend Al Potvin, who is also a resident at Glendale Crossing. Visitation at the McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME , 246 Thames St. S. Ingersoll on Friday 2-4 & 7-9p.m and on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Cremation to follow. Interment later in Mt. Elgin Cemetery. Donations to Mt. Elgin United Church, Mt. Elgin Community Centre or Mt. Elgin Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be sent at www.gffh.ca
