WILKS, Edward Fredrick "Fred" - Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Woodstock Hospital on Monday, April 24, 2017, in his 79th year. Predeceased by the love of his life, Alice Wilks (1996). Survived by his sons David and Paul, grandchildren Jamie-Lee, Paul Jr., and Connor, and great grandchildren Eden and Esme. Predeceased by his parents Tracey and Annie; adored by his siblings Bob (Joyce), Norma (Jack), Bill (Shirley), Betty (Dan), Dennis (Linda) Carol (Jim), and Dave (Heather). Fred was born September 12, 1938 in Woodstock, Ontario. He was an avid traveler, outdoorsman, fisherman, golfer, and was instrumental in the industrial hockey league for decades. He prided himself on his community involvement within the Navy Club; working his way through the ranks before proudly becoming the Colour Party Commander for many years. He will be loved and missed greatly by all those who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Woodstock Navy Club, 959 James St., Woodstock, Ontario at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to the Liver Foundation would be appreciated and may be arranged through the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME (519-539-0004).
