BINGHAM, Sally Grace (Herries) - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock, Ontario on May 27, 2017. She was born Sally Grace Herries on December 31, 1939. A New Year’s Eve baby, she loved to say there was always a party on her birthday. She was the only child of Norm Herries and Moira Yallop. She spent her childhood years growing up riding horses with her father, dancing and laughing with her mother in Tillsonburg and teenage summers helping her parents run the Turkey Point Golf Course. Sally was educated at the London Teachers College and inspired many wonderful children in London and Stratford as a young teacher. It was at the golf course where she met her first love and husband, Douglas Cameron Forster of Simcoe, Ontario. They were married for over twenty years raising two daughters, Sherry and Tracey. Sherry married Sergio Moraca and Tracey married Bruce Ivanyshyn, and both men agree, Sally was the best Mother-in-Law in the world. In this first chapter of Sally’s life she taught school in Stratford and was also the Manager of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce. Sally’s second chapter started when she met her second love and husband, Jack Bingham of Woodstock, Ontario. Jack and Sally recently celebrated 30 years of marriage spent living and laughing in Woodstock, travelling the world and spending warm happy winters in Titusville Florida where Sally loved the social life and her many friends. Sally dedicated herself to family and friends and her grandchildren, Carlin Sparks, Abbey Ferguson (Sparks), Katherine Moraca, Ashley Moraca, Sarah Pellisaro (Ivanyshyn), and Sydney and Kelsey Bingham cherished their time with “the BEST NANNY ever”. Her great granddaughters Serena Sparks, Isla Ferguson and Spencer Ferguson are happy for the love and time spent cuddling with their Nan. To know her was to love her, she embodied grace, love and courage and even in her difficult last days gave thanks for her beautiful life. The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at the London Regional Cancer Centre, Woodstock Cancer Centre, the Saint Elizabeth Health Care nurses and the amazing team at Sakura House Hospice. We are grateful for your kindness and care. Visitation for Sally will be held at BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Brock and Visser Funeral Home chapel the following day, Wednesday, May 31th at 11:00 am. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to Sakura House and the Woodstock Hospital, Chemotherapy Unit. Online condolences at www.brockandvisser.com
