SCHOFIELD, Christena Elizabeth - Peacefully, with her family by her side at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock on Friday, March 31, 2017, Christena Elizabeth Schofield (nee Mac Donald) at the age of 92. She was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Beloved wife of David Schofield for 57 years. Loving mother of Stephen Schofield (Sue), Janet Hunsberger (Jeff), and Patricia Arlidge (Colin). Proud grandmother of Eric, Grace, Luke, Emily, Sarah, Kip and Scott. Survived by her sister Mary MacDougall (late Joe), brother Alexander MacDonald (Angela), sister-in-law Marie MacDonald and brother-in-law Harold Conrad (late Pearl). Predeceased by her parents Allan and Janet (nee MacRae) MacDonald as well as siblings Donald MacDonald (Georgina), Margaret MacDonald, Allan MacDonald (Winnifred) and David MacDonald. Christena cherished her many nieces and nephews who live across Canada. She enjoyed her work at Woodstock General Hospital as a medical records clerk. Her faith was strong in the Catholic church and was a member of the CWL. She spent countless hours knitting, baking, playing cards, and loved her visits with family, friends and neighbours. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Friday, April 7, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Parish prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday at 4 pm. Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 am with Father Rick Dales as celebrant.
