MCCALLUM, Gary Douglas - Peacefully at Providence Care Hospital following a brief illness, on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Gary McCallum, age 67, loving father of Darlene McCallum, Christine McCallum (Chris George) and Michelle DeCroock (Stuart), all of Kingston. Affectionately known as "Grampa" to Charlotte DeCroock and Ethan George and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of another granddaughter. Fondly remembered by the mother of his children, Betty McCallum. Son of Douglas McCallum of Woodstock and the late Lois (nee Todd) and survived by brothers Stewart and David McCallum, both of Ottawa. Predeceased by brother Todd McCallum. Also remembered by his nieces and nephew. The family extends sincere gratitude to all of Gary's caregivers at Providence Care, as well as to his spiritual caregiver and friend, Rev. John J. Brennan. Friends will be received at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME , 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston on Wednesday, October 4 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH , 490 Days Road, Kingston on Thursday, October 5 at 11:00 am, with Rite of Committal and Prayers at Willowbank Cemetery, Gananoque. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Palliative Care at Providence Care) in Gary's memory.
