BENDER, Bob - Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday December 6, 2017. Gerald Robert “Bob” Bender of Woodstock in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Audrey A. (Nee Matheson) Bender for over 61 years. Dear father of Tom (Nancy) Bender, Kathy (Dan) Newell, Susan (Steve) Hanna and Joe (Erin) Bender. Loved grandfather of nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Dear brother of Thomas (Ruthanne) Bender, Dianne (Dan) Stern and brother-in-law to Catherine Bender. Predeceased by his brother Richard Bender (2015). Bob was a longtime member of Innerkip Oak Branch Masonic Lodge # 261 A.F. & A.M. Friends are invited to join the family at the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday December 9, 2017 from 1 - 2 pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel at 2 pm. Cremation has taken place. Due to scent allergy concerns, please refrain from wearing strong perfumes. As well the family would prefer memorial contributions over floral tributes.
