Age 96, of Embro, passed away peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Winchester, England, daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Daines) Sheppard. Peggy started work in 1937 a Gilberts Antiquarian Bookshop (Winchester), in 1941 she joined the W.A.A.F. (Women's Auxiliary Air Force) and served in England until 1946, she went back to Gilberts Book Shop for many years as manager and left in 1974 and came to Canada and married Clarence Bloomfield of Embro. Clarence passed away in 1981. Peggy was a longtime member of Knox United Church (Embro) and a life member of K.U.C. "Highland Park UCW". Peggy is survived by her step-son-in-law Donald Brazier, step-grandmother to Lynn (Jim) Brownell, JoAnn (Dale) Warren, step-great-grandmother to Kirk (Julie) Brownell, Julie (Jake) Welch, Jason (Jen) Warren and great-great-grandmother to Declan, Carter, Wallace, George, Evan, Noah and Caleb and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Peggy was predeceased by her step-daughter Fern Brazier, brothers Percival, Ronald and Reginald Sheppard. In keeping with Peggy's wishes, cremation will take place; there will not be any visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in the spring in Embro Cemetery.
