TAIT, Robert (Bob) Richard - Bob passed away on February 18, 2018 at the age of 79. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Ann (Margaret) and his three children, Heather (Louise), Libby (Jason), and Peter (Christine). His two grandsons, Alex and Will, were his pride and joy. Much loved by his sister Lois (Paul Martin Sr.). Predeceased by his parents George and Anna and his brother David (the late husband of Mary). Bob enjoy spending time and reminiscing with a large circle of wonderful friends and extended family. He was a dedicated employee at Commercial Print Craft for many decades and a member of the OA (All Friends) and Probus Clubs, Craigowan, and the Woodstock Curling Club. Bob was a generous, patient, and humble man who would do anything for his friends, family and complete strangers. Always putting others before himself, you could count on him to help bring in a load of hay, snow blow your driveway or lend a hand to anyone in need. He was legendary for his dry wit and one-liners, delivered with perfect timing and a straight face. Bob was a cowboy and bluegrass fan who loved walking in the country with his dogs. He was a horseman, story teller, golfer, and gentleman and will be greatly missed. Heartfelt thanks are extended to his personal support workers from Care Partners, the kind and caring staff at Woodingford Lodge, Tillsonburg, and all those who helped him through his long fight with Parkinson's disease. To celebrate Bob's wonderful life, the family invites you to drop by the Oxford Golf and Country Club (Craigowan), 595838 Hwy 59 Woodstock, on Thursday, February 22nd between 2:00 and 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Tillsonburg Woodingford Lodge, or to Parkinson Canada would be deeply appreciated and may be arranged through the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004). In Bob's memory, we encourage you to think of your best joke and tell it to someone who really needs a smile.
