CHESLEY, Dorothy - Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2018 at VON Sakura House, Dorothy Marie Chesley (nee Gross) at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Chesley (1974). Mother of Judy Fitzner (John), Debbie Boland, Mary Ellen Rhame, Carolyn Chesley Jewell (James) and Steven Chesley. Grandmother of Daniel, Kyle (Erica), Liam, Matthew, Katherine (Scott) and Elizabeth (Alex), and great grandmother of Aiden. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Evaline (nee Runstedler) Gross as well as all her siblings. Dorothy was a CWL member for 50 plus years and loved her work at the Woodstock Public Library as well as her housekeeping job at St. Mary’s Rectory. Family and friends are invited to SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington St. N, Woodstock on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 10:00 – 10:45 am for a visitation. A funeral liturgy will follow at 11 am with Fr. Jude Ogbenna. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Woodstock. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to VON Sakura House.
