McIVER, Milton Miles - Surrounded by his family at Caressant Care, Woodstock in his 92nd year he gently passed away in his sleep Thursday, September 6th, 2018. Husband of Betty McIver (Post) for over 68 years. Father of Sandra McIver, Sharon (Bob) Smith, John (Nancy) McIver, Julie (Mark) Byers, Ric (Christine) McIver, Rob (Debbie) McIver and Dawn (Paul) Brokers. Survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Milt retired from Massey Ferguson Combines in Brantford with over 30 years service. He enjoyed a long retirement, travelling abroad with his wife Betty, being with his family and finding a new passion in gardening. He loved his visits with Dawn’s dog Rudy, his love of music and dancing never left even when he could barely walk. A devout Catholic, his faith was strong and a major part of his life which he gave to all his children. He had a presence, was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Friends are welcome to join the family at the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME , 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday September 8, 2018 from 10 - 11 am, where a memorial service to honour Milt’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. Interment in the Hillview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Sakura House, South Gate Centre or Caressant Care, Woodstock.
