GEERLINKS-HARM, “Harry” Geert - Of St. Thomas, ON, passed away on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at McCormick Home (Memory Lane), at the age of 65, surrounded by his family, after a ten year battle with Alzheimers disease. Dearly loved husband of Deborah Anne (MacPherson) Geerlinks of St. Thomas. Cherished father of Craig (Veronica), Nicole (Mike Babcock), and Danielle (Aaron Gould) Geerlinks, all of St. Thomas. Dear grandfather to Cambree Babcock, Charles Gould, and Chloe Geerlinks. Beloved son of Terry (Thalen) and the late Geert Geerlinks. Loving brother to Hilly (Jack) Boers of Ancaster, Shirley (Rick) Lalonde of Chatsworth, Harold (Marian) Geerlinks, Alfred (Dorothy) Geerlinks, George (Karen) Geerlinks, Trudy (Ian) Hyde, Raymond (Shirley) Geerlinks, Laverne (Angela) Geerlinks, Marty (Irene) Geerlinks, all of Woodstock, Frank (Jacqueline) Geerlinks of Little Briton, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased sister Yvonne Geerlinks of Woodstock. Son-in-law to predeceased Dan “Turk” and Elizabeth MacPherson. Harry was born September 25th, 1953 in Hamilton, Ontario. He was a successful business owner of both Beaver Lumber and Home Hardware for over 35 years. His family and friends knew him as a fun-loving, hard-working family man that was admired by all. He loved being physically active, attending Sunday morning church, swinging the clubs, working the lumber desk, and most of all spending time with family and friends. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important – the simplicity of living a life with those you love. Visitation will take place at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 641 Elm Street, St. Thomas on Friday, Jan. 25th @ 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service in memory of Harry will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26th at 11:00 am, at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church. A celebration of life will be held after the ceremony @ 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. at The Masonic Centre, 42703 Fruit Ridge Line, St. Thomas. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to McCormick Home (Memory Lane) would be greatly appreciated by the family. A very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at McCormick for going above and beyond and to Deb’s group of “angels” for helping the family get through.
