Of Woodstock, Ontario passed away peacefully with Family by his side at Woodstock Hospital on October 2, 2019, at the age of 72. Husband and best friend of Norielys Linares. Proud Father of Kevin (Tamara), Darrell (Melissa), Shawn (Theresa), Trevor (Jenn), and Gabriela. Grandpa of Lindsay, Zack, Erin, Darrell Jr, Alyssa, Rylee, and Julia. Loving son of John Whittaker and Frieda (nee Karn) (predeceased). Remembered by his siblings Betty (Bill) Dickenson, and Shirley Jamieson. Predeceased by his sister Eleanor Whittaker.
John was a hard worker and was employed as a welder at Timberjack for many years until they closed. Before his passing he dedicated himself to the safety of many children through transportation with Murphy Bus Lines.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 26, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.at the Moose Lodge, 690 Sutherland Drive, Woodstock.
