Baskett, Mary Marguerite

February 15, 1925 - October 29, 2019

Marguerite passed away at home in Edmonton, Alberta where she and husband Norm moved after Norm retired in 1990. Marguerite spent her working life at the Bank of Montreal in Drumbo, Ontario, where she worked her way up to branch manager. She spent her retirement years engaging herself in several beloved hobbies, such as painting, playing bridge, crafting with friends at Dayspring Presbyterian Church, and spending time with family. Marguerite and Norm were married 60 years before Norm passed away in 2007.

She will be missed by daughter Sheila(John)Skubiski of Newmarket, ON, son Tom(Lee-Ann)Baskett of Edmonton, grandchildren Eric Skubiski of Sutton West, ON, Erin(Carmel)Skubiski of Sydney, Australia, Katie(Cassandra)Baskett of Nanaimo,B.C., Meagan(Jeff)Baskett and Alex Stewart of Edmonton, her sisters Marion Sim of St. Albert, AB and Frances Baker of Edmonton and brother Lyle(Barb)Yeandle of Princeton, ON, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Eva(Buck)Yeandle, brothers Elmer and Earl Yeandle and sister Ilene Yeandle.

Her family is sincerely grateful to the staff of Rutherford Heights Retirement Residence for the wonderful care they provided her. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Westlawn Chapel and Funeral Home and Cemetery in Edmonton.
