Daisy passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge Woodstock in her 87th year. Gone to the loving arms of her husband Floyd Roberts (2012). Cherished mother to Diane Buckrell (Allan), Bill Roberts (Ruthann) and Susan Roberts (Bill). Loving grandmother to Matt Roberts (Amanda), Colin Roberts (Mel) and Deanna Van Bommel. Despite her dementia she had a special way of connecting with her great granddaughter Alannah Roberts. Daisy was born in Courtland to Fred and Lillian (nee Lovell) Gaskin. She was predeceased by sisters, Freda (Roy) Graves, Grace (Carl) Grant and Mary Hetherington. Predeceased also by brother in laws Bruce Roberts, Douglas Roberts, Wesley Dice (Eileen) and sister in law Evelyn Appel (Herman). She is survived by sister Dorothy (Larry) Schroeder, brother in law Jay Hetherington and sister's in law Edith Roberts and Marjorie Roberts. Daisy was a loving aunt and great aunt too many nieces and nephews and her door was always open for them to drop in for a visit or have a party. Daisy worked first as a telephone operator in her youth and once she was married to Floyd and moved to Burgessville she loved her garden and strawberry patch. She occasionally worked in tobacco harvest with a great group of young people that made the days fun and go by quickly. Daisy was also a 4-H leader for a number of years and always enjoyed Mission Circle with the ladies of Burgessville Baptist Church. Her passion was her family and she will be dearly missed. Arrangements entrusted to the ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, Norwich, ON 519-863-3020. A private family service will be held, and interment at the Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Woodingford Lodge Woodstock for the exceptional care and love they showed Daisy during her stay there.
