BUCK, Andrew Hamilton
After a brief battle with cancer, on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Woodstock General Hospital, in his 85th year. Andy Buck was born in Stratford, Ontario, son of the late Margaret (Hamilton) and Stewart Buck. Beloved husband of Martha (Ische). Predeceased by Dorothy Buck (Walker). Loving father of Douglas and his wife Marilyn, Donald and his wife Marlene and David and his wife Anne. Cherished by his grandchildren Daniel (Megan), Christopher, Adam, Joshua (Mary Ellen), Amanda, Andrew (Tonya), Alicia (Doug), James, Tanner (Holly), and Tyson. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Roy, Anne Parsons (Lawrence), Ken (Elta), Gary (Deb), June Mitten (Ken), Betty Broadfoot (John), Barb Taylor (Ken), Bev Neidig, Frank Ische (Judy). Andy will be dearly missed by his brothers-in-law Don Major, Larry Walker (Sharon), and by his sisters-in-law Nora Campbell, Thelma Leigh, and many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. Andy was predeceased by his brothers Jim, Ron and his sisters Viola (Moris), Ina Major, brothers-in-law Bob Neidig, Joe Wickert, Marvin Walker (Audrey), Cecil Walker (Sylvia), Vincent Walker (Elsie), Bert Leigh, Jim Campbell and his sisters-in-law Grace Buck, Edna Dahms (Cliff), Myrtle Gorel (Walter), Lois Tsnoff (Nick) and great grandchild Skyla. Andy worked at McTavish Collision in Stratford for over 25 years. He moved to Brodhagen to open Buck's General Store. In 1980 they moved to Norwich to open Buck's Food Market until he retired in 2000. Andy was community-minded and was involved in many local projects. He was recognized by the Sebringville Athletic Society and the Township of Norwich Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Norwich Otterville Lions Club, Norwich BIA, and Township of Norwich Chamber of Commerce. As per Andy's request, arrangements have been entrusted to ARN-LOCKIE FUNERAL HOME, Norwich, ON 519-863-3020. Cremation will take place with a celebration of life at a later date. Andy's family would like to thank the Woodstock General Hospital's Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Sondhi and Diane, for their compassionate care. The nurses in the Palliative Care Unit, for their care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Sakura House (VON Oxford), Canadian Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis or the charity of one's choice.
