CHESSELL, Phyllis Mae

Thursday, August 13, 2020, the family of Phyllis Chessell (1936-2020) of Woodstock, are saddened to share her passing from earthly life to eternal life with God. Phyllis used her strong will to fight a diligent battle with cancer and was able to remain in her own home until just recently when she moved into the VON Sakura House. Phyllis was very grateful to God for time to get all her worldly affairs in order before answering His call to "come home". Our loss is certainly heaven's gain.

Phyllis was cherished by her family and will be deeply missed by: her sisters, Sheila Kay (Jack), Betty Charles, Margaret Spicer (Bill), Glenda Kerr (Archie), Deb Sinclair (Doug), and her brother Andy Bowden and all of her nieces and nephews and their families. Phyllis was the first daughter of the late Annie and Bill Bowden of St. George, and the loving wife of the late William Chessell of Woodstock ON.

At Phyllis' request, her funeral will be a small private, family service, with Rev. Doug Anderson officiating. She will be laid to rest, alongside her husband Bill, in the Innerkip Cemetery.

Phyl's friends can honour her life with a donation to VON Sakura House or the Woodstock Hospital, or by thinking of her whenever they enjoy time with friends or family. Donations can be arranged through the BROCK AND VISSER FUNERAL HOME (519-539-0004). Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed online at www.brockandvisser.com
