Passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital surrounded by her family on Monday, October 12, 2020. Johanna E. Burgers of Woodstock in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late William VanRooyen (1988) and the late Anthony Burgers (2016). Loved mother of Alexander (Anne) VanRooyen, Jo-Anne (Shawn) Shea, Frederick (Patricia) VanRooyen, William (Trish) VanRooyen, Tony (Yoke) VanRooyen and John (Mary Paula) VanRooyen. Cherished grandmother of Angela VanRooyen, Eric (Amanda) VanRooyen, Justin (Jen) VanRooyen, Patrice (James) McGillivray, Tara (Jordan) Micko, Billy Joe VanRooyen, Rebekah (Josh) Clifford, Charlotte VanRooyen and Justin (Bethany) MacDonald and forever remembered by 20 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Albert Wesselink and sister-in-law to Helena VanDerVecht, Anthony (Marie) VanRooyen, and Alexander VanRooyen. Stepmother to Janet, Corrie, Albert and their families. Predeceased by sister Diane (Henry) Ranter, brother-in-law Homer VanDerVecht and stepson Henry. Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Thursday October 15, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. (Masks required). A private family service will be held later. Interment will take place at the Mt. Herbert Cemetery, Bethel, PEI at a later date. If desired contributions to the Woodstock Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated.
