Crawford, Jean (née Wettlaufer) (Died)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jean Crawford at the age of 91 years. In the evening hours of December 5, 2020, she passed away peacefully at Secord Trails in Ingersoll, Ontario, holding the hand of her beloved son, John. Jean was the loving wife of the late Douglas Crawford who passed away in 2009. They were married in 1950 and had two wonderful sons, Brian (Hendrika) and John (Carolyn). Jean is survived by her son, John, daughter-in-law, Carolyn, granddaughters, Connie Loker (Justin), Adele Singh (Kimmy) and Sarah Meagher (Wayne) and great-grandchildren, Derek, Rebekah, Shaunaughsey and Jackson. Jean is also survived by her siblings, Grace, Jim and Mary and her sisters-in-law Irene, Bev and Dorothy. Predeceased by her loving parents, Lorne and Jessie Wettlaufer, loving son Brian, daughter-in-law Hendrika, brother Roy and adored granddaughter Lisa. Jean was a kindhearted, caring woman with a wonderful sense of humour. Her infectious belly laugh was sure to bring a smile to your face. She loved flowers, birdwatching, and taking scenic drives to Port Dover. In the winter, she was an avid follower of curling and could proudly tell you about all our Canadian players. Jean's greatest joy was for her great-grandchildren, she cherished her visits with them and hearing about all of their accomplishments. Jean will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends and many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (519-539-0004) in Woodstock, Ontario a small, private family service will be held due to COVID-19 restrictions. A private burial will be held at the Innerkip Cemetery. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Woodstock Food Bank would be greatly appreciated.
