CRANE, Neil Delbert

Leaving a life well lived behind, only to be reunited with his beloved Isabel. Neil Delbert Crane passed away peacefully at Manor Village in London on May 9, 2021 in his 90th year. For 65 years he was the treasured husband and best friend of the late Isabel Crane (Kloepfer). Cherished father of Anne Innes (Grant) and Dave Crane (Heather). Loving grandfather to Scott Innes (Lesley), Brian Innes (Lacey), Steven Innes (Shelley), Tracy Mayo (Andrew) and Jeff Crane (Lindsay). Adored great-grandfather to Cody, Milo, Vayda, Livia, Carter, Landon, Brooklyn, Alanna, and Colton. Survived and loved by his sister-in-law Marguerite Dietrich and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William (Bill) and Alberta (Bertie) Crane (Lewis), stepfather Albert Markham, sister-in-law Audrey Kirwin, brothers-in-law Leo Kirwin and Leonard Dietrich, and niece Janet Wilson. Neil lived his entire life on the family dairy farm. He was president of the Oxford Jersey Club and well recognized for his purebred Jerseys and cattle showmanship. When he was not on the farm you could find him fishing on the bay or dancing with his beloved Isabel. He loved cottage life and travelling the world. He was a man of knowledge and a lover of history. Family was everything to Neil, it was his most prized possession. He lived a wonderful life and left everyone with some amazing memories. He truly will be missed and never forgotten. Due to Covid, a private family service was held at the Harris Street Cemetery, Ingersoll, Ontario. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Oxford, Children's Health Foundation, or the Woodstock Hospital, and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004). Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed at www.brockandvisser.com. Thank you to all the people who have helped dad in his final years, and to all of those who could not be present at the funeral for keeping him in your thoughts.
