VELDHUIZEN, Reierdina

To our deep sorrow, it has pleased the Lord to take out of our midst, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's, our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt, on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Bethany Care Home of Norwich, Reierdina (Dina) Veldhuizen (nee Van Ginkel) in her 85th year. Beloved wife of 51 years of the late Evert Veldhuizen (2013). Dear mother of Bart and Geerke Veldhuizen (nee Hardeman) of Woodstock, Hennie and Chris Van Ravenswaay of Burgessville, Adrie and Martin (Marty) Barendrecht of Oxford Centre, Betty and Dan Markus of Schoolcraft, MI, Jan and Johanna Veldhuizen (nee Scholten) of Oxford Centre and Evert and Marije Veldhuizen (nee Scheer) of Oxford Centre. Oma will be sadly missed by her 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Dina will be sadly missed by her seven sisters, one brother, four sisters-in-law, and seven brothers-in-law in the Netherlands; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Maria Van Ginkel of Ostrander; Eefje Van Ginkel of Burgessville, Jannie Veldhuizen of Burgessville and Jack and Cathy Veldhuizen of Norwich and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by six brothers, two sisters, three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and one grandchild, Ann (2002). Family and friends will be received at 473 6th Concession Rd., Brant, ON N0E 1A0, Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A private funeral service will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. DV at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 45 Main St. E.
