It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our amazing daughter Tanya Denise Quinn on June 17, 2021 at her home on Denman Island, B.C. in her 48th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving and adoring husband David Graf and her parents Alan and Donna Quinn of Woodstock. Loving sister of Dr. Melinda (Michael) Hillmer of Toronto and brother Liam (Seyhan) Quinn of Kitchener. Tanya adored her nieces and nephews Sydney, Alexander and Lauren Hillmer and Ayla, Remzi and Enver Quinn. Survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Missed by Hector, her precious cat.
Tanya was employed with the 442 Search and Rescue Squadron at the Comox Military Base as the IT coordinator.
Tanya showed so much strength and courage in her 10 year journey with cancer. Tanya was an avid cyclist, and advocated the use of cycling as a viable means of transportation in urban environments. She was a touring cyclist and loved sailing, kayaking and dragon boat racing with her Hope Afloat team as well. She crocheted amazing amigurumi creatures.
She was buried in the Denman Island Natural Burial Cemetery, an environmentalist to the end.
