Hanson, Thomas Edward (Died)

On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Thomas Edward Hanson, passed away suddenly at Woodstock General Hospital in his 80th year. Nine years to the day that he lost the love of his life Helen Ann Hanson. He leaves behind his daughter Jennifer (John) and their children Riley, Laurel (fiancé Damon), Ian (wife Samantha); Jo-Ann (Scott) and children Tanner (fiancé Holly), Tyson, and Gavin; Justin (Nicole) and their children Ella and Ava. His love and support of his family was never ending. He was a people person, selling farm machinery and cars for many years, and leaving a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of working with him. His best buddy Spike will miss him greatly. Survived by his two sisters, Ellen Arthur and Marianna (Murray) Smith, and his sister-in-law, Joyce Hanson. Fondly remembered by Ann's family, Jean Porteous, Jan Porteous, Bob (Donna) Porteous, Lynn Morden, Kathy Cooper, Susan (Paul) Eacrett, Wendy (John) Theis, Nancy (Brad) Horning, James (Jill) Porteous, Holly (Steve) Schmitt, and Ruth (John) Esposito. Tom sang in the Otterville United Church choir for many years and was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge # 104. The family will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON 519-863-3020, for a private family visitation on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. Friends will be received on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the Otterville Cemetery. Donations in Tom's memory to the Otterville United Church, would be greatly appreciated.
