Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday June 14, 2022, in her 85th year, Beloved wife of James "Jim" A. Strickler for over 64 years. Loving mother of Laurie (Greg) Brodhagen, Richard (Julie) Strickler, James W. Strickler, David (Stacey) Strickler, Jennifer (Ron) Zandbergen and Chris (Marian) Strickler. Cherished grandmother to seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Special aunt to Shelley (Jon) Gellner and Colin (Liza) McDonald and will always be remembered by her many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her son Peter A. Strickler (2013) and by her brother Lawrence (Doreen) McDonald. Susie was a long-time active member of Knox Presbyterian Church Embro. She was always involved in the many facets of the church, but her passion was found playing the organ and piano during Sunday services. Friends were welcome to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday June 17, 2022, from 3-5 and 7-9p.m., where the funeral service was held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Reception followed then interment in the North Embro Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Knox Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimer Society of Oxford County would be appreciated.
