- Full Text
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Betty Anderson (nee Tyler) at home in Sweaburg September 25, 2022, in her 83rd year. She has rejoined her loving husband, Gordon (2016) of over 55 years.
Cherished mother of Dale (Jeudie Mulligan) Anderson and Lee (Michelle Bere) Anderson and their families. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Mildred, brother Herbert, sisters Anne and Lynn.
Betty started her career in business with the Woolworth company in the housewares buying department in Toronto. While raising their family Betty could be found side by side supporting her husband Gord working at Unionville Motors, before their move to Woodstock to help him start Gord Anderson Pontiac Buick, now the Gord Anderson Automotive Group.
Betty was the proud owner of the Paper Factory party supplies store located in Woodstock.
When not working Betty loved travelling with Gord, seeing the country far and wide on RV caravans and time with their Florida friends during the winter months. She and Gord enjoyed get togethers and dances with friend and family, and she was always up for a game of cards. Mom, enjoy dancing with Dad again, we know you've missed him.
If desired, memorial contributions to Southgate Center, Woodstock General Hospital Foundation, or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
Family and friends are invited to join in her celebration of life to be held at Goff Hall, 381 Finkle Street Woodstock, Ontario Sunday October 2, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004 www.brockandvisser.com
