WEST, Jack Laverne

October 21, 1931 -

November 7, 2022

On November 7, 2022, Jack West of Route #7 Woodstock, Ontario passed away at the age of 91 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife; Evelyn Mae West, daughter; Mary Ann West, his sister Mary Marshall and brother-in-law Stan Marshall.

Jack will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Robert West (Barbara) and David West (Cheryl); grandchildren; Julie North (Shawn), Shane McGillis (Kelly), Peter West (Bria), Terri McCallion (Colin), Matthew Thompson (Ellen), Adam Thompson (Amanda), Hilary West (Mike); great-grandchildren; Nicole North, Kristen North, Ava McGillis, Karlie McGillis, Georgia West, Ryan McCallion, Ila McCallion, Isabelle Thompson.

Jack was born and raised on the Westleigh Farm on the 15th line of East Zorra Township. Jack loved being a dairy farmer on the farm founded by his great-grandfather Edward, grandfather Albert, father George and currently farmed by his son David.

Jack enjoyed his leadership with the 4H calf club, and was a life member of the Innerkip United Church. He also had a passion for square dancing and hosting dances in the hay loft of the barn. Jack thoroughly enjoyed his time with family and neighbours. He will be deeply missed.

A private service will be held at the family's request and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
