Gone home to be with his Lord and Saviour Wednesday November 23, 2022 at the Woodstock Hospital in his 89th year. Beloved husband of nearly 67 years of Edie (nee Boskma) Brouwer. Predeceased by his loving son Larry William Brouwer (1981). Loving father of Linda Edie (Mark) Weese. Cherished Opa of Melissa (Michael) Waters. Cherished great Opa of Henry and Teddy Waters. Dear brother of Marinus Brouwer (Grace), Martin (Frieda) Brouwer and Jenny (Henk), brother-in-law to Harold (Jane) Boskma, Harry and Betty Heemstra, Roy and Grace Bragg. Bill will also be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whom he loved very much. Bill immigrated from the Netherlands in the early 1950's. It is in Woodstock that he met the love of his life Edie and they wed in 1956. Together they started Brouwers furniture in Embro and enjoyed that life for approximately 30 years. In their retirement they enjoyed travelling to many places all over the world. In recent years and with his failing health Bill enjoyed being at home and offering acts of kindness and love to those around him. A private interment service will be held at the Baptist Cemetery. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at The ROCK Bible Church, 1140 Nellis St., Woodstock, on Sunday December 4, 2022, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers and donations please consider a moment of your time with a loved one, a friend, or a stranger. A moment of kindness and a loving gesture can change someone's day. As it was in Bill's nature, please consider this act in his memory. Psalm 91. Expressions of sympathy may be given at www.brockandvisser.com
