Passed peacefully in London, with family by his side on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Kathy for 50 years and loving father of Mark and David. Dear brother of Rita and Frits; brother-in-law of Bernie, Paul, and Jean; and friend of Jane and Neil, the partners of his siblings. Dear cousin of family in Kingston, Woodstock, London, Indiana, and the Netherlands. Dear uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews in Cambridge, Woodstock, London and surrounding areas. Predeceased by parents Theodore and Emilie; sisters Hendrica, Kay, Ann, Willie, Ellie, Mary; and brother Harry. Bill worked in the financial sector and was respected by many within Rochdale Credit Union, Canada Trust, Royal Trust, Royal Bank and Royal Mutual Funds Inc. He was a natural leader at work, in social clubs, sports teams, fund-raising and family events. Charismatic, funny, engaging, and competitive, Bill was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching professionals but he loved creating and participating in games and activities with loved ones. Family was most important to him. His laugh and love made him shine amongst family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. He will be missed.
