CHAMPEAU, Stan

We begin today with a tribute to a beloved community member, Stan Champeau, who passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024, in Paris, Ontario, at the age of 86. Born on August 27, 1937, in Knowlton, Quebec, Stan was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, and friend. His passing leaves a legacy of love and enduring memories. Stan is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Joanne, and their children, Jeff and his wife Michele, Mary Beth and her husband Garry, and Trevor and his wife Laurie. Stan was a proud grandfather to Cory, Brandon, Nicole, Brittaney, Tyler, Matthew, Lucas, Jessica, and Jacob, and he delighted in the joys of his great-grandchildren Gabe, Aubriella, Jean-Luc, Finn, and Izzy. His brother Raymond, sister Marion, and a large extended family also survive him. Stan was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, founding and nurturing Ingersoll Glass to become a cornerstone of the local business community. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family and his passions. An avid fisherman and golfer, Stan found peace and pleasure in the great outdoors. His love for these sports was only surpassed by the love he had for his family, who were the center of his world.

Family and friends will be received at Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Stan may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Liver Association.
