Graham Dean Harcourt, a cherished pillar of the Innerkip community, passed away surrounded by his family at Woodstock Hospital on June 5, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on March 12, 1962.
Graham's journey began as the beloved son of Wilfred, who predeceased him, and Donna Harcourt. Graham spent 33 years with the love of his life Laureen "Chuckie" Harcourt (née Albright), during which they raised two wonderful children, Avril (Sheahan Smith) and Jordan (James Ketcheson), in the village of Innerkip. The arrival of his granddaughter, Maeve, brought so much joy and laughter to his world. A devoted brother, Graham is survived by his sibling Christopher "Bear" (Laurie) Harcourt, and he held a special place in the hearts of his in-laws, Steven (Karen) Albright, Kelley (David) Hunt, and Maureen (Ken) MacDonald. His warmth and guidance will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members, as well as a community of friends who valued his presence in their lives. Predeceased by his in-laws, Ross and Marjorie Albright. Professionally, Graham was involved in the land development of the Villages of Sally Creek, where he also played a pivotal role in the management of the local golf course. His professional acumen was matched only by his spirit of volunteerism, as evidenced by his fifteen years of dedicated service as a volunteer firefighter for East Zorra Township, Innerkip Department. Graham's selflessness and bravery were qualities of his character, earning him the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him. An avid sports enthusiast, Graham's interests were diverse and active. In his youth, he was often found playing hockey, cycling, or swimming. His passion for sports extended to his role as a coach, where he took great pride in coaching his daughters through their baseball seasons. Graham's love for his girls was evident in every aspect of his life, and his support for their endeavors was unwavering. Graham's legacy is one of love, commitment, and community. His impact on Innerkip and its residents will be felt for generations to come. As we bid farewell to a man who was so much to so many, we take comfort in the memories he leaves behind—a tapestry of a life well-lived, woven with the threads of joy, resilience, and an enduring spirit of generosity. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Graham Dean Harcourt will be held in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him, as a guiding light and an inspiration. Though he has left this earth, his legacy will continue to shine brightly in the community and family he loved so dearly. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Graham's Life at The Village of Sally Creek Rec., 330 Lakeview Dr., Woodstock, from 1 to 4 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024. If desired, memorial contributions to the EZT Innerkip Fire Association would be greatly appreciated, and may be arranged online at www.brockandvisser.com
