He also worked as a labourer and was a supervisor until he retired. Fred loved sports: from coaching hockey in Norwich to watching baseball and hockey. His favourite pastimes included working on his family tree, country drives, coin collecting, fishing, coffee with his friends. A hardworking family man, husband, father and grandfather he tackled every hurdle that life challenged him with and instilled strong values in his children. Fred will forever be remembered as a role model, mentor, supporter and teacher; a truly beloved man.

Special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Regis and nurse Stephanie and Dr. Hudson for their exceptional care of Fred and to the excellent doctors and nurses from the beginning as well as all staff at Sakura house in his final days.

In keeping with Fred's wishes there will be no public visitation. A private Memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to VON Sakura House particularly for the gardens as gardening was one of Fred's favourite joys.
