Brenneman, Kenneth Daniel "Ken" (Died)

In his 78th year passed away on October 4, 2024 at the People Care in Tavistock after a hard-fought battle with kidney disease.

He was born at home on March 20, 1947 on the 11th Line of East Zorra where he lived and farmed his whole life. Son of the late Lorne and Selma (Zehr) Brenneman.

Beloved husband of Karen (Walters) Brenneman, whom he married June 12, 1970. Proud father of Dale, Mark and wife Amanda, sadly missed by grandchildren Erin, Emma, Matthew, Drew (Kara) and Bailey. He is survived by his sisters, Merle (Allan Gerber), Joyce (Dan Gascho), Carole (Jim Schumm), and by his brother Keith (Marilyn), and sister-in-law Donna (late Ron Brenneman), brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Wendy Walters, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and brother Ron, he was predeceased by a brother in infancy, nephews Michael Brenneman, Barry Gerber, and Joel Wallace.

He was a member of Grace United Church Tavistock and a member of The Tavistock Men's Club. Ken was a Pioneer Seed Sales Representative for many years where he made many lifelong friendships.

Friends and relatives will be received at the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St Tavistock, on Tuesday October 8, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A family funeral service will take place with Interment at Grace United Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of one's choice can be made if desired, and when you see a farmer combining in a field, smile and remember Ken, he would say "Always do your best, whatever you plant today you will harvest later, and park your boots straight at the back door."
