RILEY - At PeopleCare Tavistock, on Saturday, December 2, 2006, Agnes Johnston Riley (nee Duncan) passed away peacefully in the loving presence of her family, in her 106th year. Beloved mother of June Pike (Wilfred) of Thedford, Mary Older (Len) of Thamesford and Florence Thomlison (Spence) of Cambridge. Much loved grandmother of sixteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Hugh, sister Jean Blancher, daughter Jean Elizabeth Conlon, son Donald Hugh Riley, grandson Ralph Conlon, granddaughter Darlene Russell, daughter-in-law Gwen Riley, son-in-law George Conlon, and beloved companion Len Rowden. Agnes was born on November 19, 1901 in Rothesay, Isle of Bute, Scotland. She made Woodstock her home from 1939 to 2003 and was a member of the Moose Lodge and Rose Rebekah Lodge, Woodstock for many years. Special thanks to the staff of PeopleCare Tavistock for their care and friendship to Agnes in her final years. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Monday, 7-9 p.m. A Rebekah Lodge service will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. under the auspices of Floreat Rebekah Lodge No. 283. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 1:00 p.m., preceded by a Moose Lodge service at 12:45 p.m. Interment at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
