Gerrie - Peacefully at Woodingford Lodge on Saturday, January 6, 2007. Helen Reta Gerrie (nee Smith) of Woodstock in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late George Gerrie. Dear mother of Ross Gerrie and his wife Linda of Woodstock. Loving grandmother of Chad Gerrie who was the apple of her eye and step-grandchildren Joseph, Laurie and Zack Pimentel. Dear sister of Vera Groves and her husband Ivan of Woodstock. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Jean Smith and Jean Gerrie as well as her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Margaret Smith, brother Ross Smith and son Wayne Gerrie. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Tuesday after 10:00 a.m., where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Judy Campbell officiating. Interment later in the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. Contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital, V.O.N. Sakura House or the charity of choice would be appreciated.
