Like a ship that left its moorings and sails bravely out to sea, someone dear has sailed away in calm serenity but God has plan a richer life beyond the unseen shore.

Dawson, Jean - Passed away peacefully on monday January 8 , 2007 at her residence the Oxford Regional Nursing Home, Ingersoll. Jean dawson, formerly of Hickson, in her 108th year. Jean is the last surviving member of the Dawson family having been predeceased by her parents Andrew and Margaret, by brothers Jack,George and wife Kate, Bill and wife Emma and Adam and wife Anna, by one great nephew, and by two great great nieces. She is survived by her nieces Donna Richardson and her husband Hardee of Oxford Centre, Jean Mills and her late husband Bob of Tillsonburg, Diane Lipsit and her husband harry of RR#1 Norwich, Bonnie Knot and her husband Bill of Ingersoll, and by her 9 great nieces and nephews, and her 17 great great nieces and nephews.Jean will also be missed by her close friend Teena Bergman of Woodstock. Jean was a member of Hickson United Church were she was an organist and sang in the choir. She was a life member of the Woodstock Red Cross and a member of the Thames Valley Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. A private family service will take place with interment in the Beachville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Glandinning Funeral Home, 40 William St., Plattsville. Donations to the Woodstock Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
