Dukes, Daniel Dan (Died)

DUKES - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday, January 14, 2007. Daniel “Dan” Dukes of Innerkip in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Anne Marie Dukes (nee Huggins) for over 57 years. Dear father of Judith Penny and her husband Brian, Josie Capling and her husband Ken all of Innerkip and Patty Dukes of Springford. Loved grandfather of four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Dear brother of Evelyn Dukes of Detroit, Michigan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Lillian Thomas, Prudence Dukes, Edna Dukes, Gladys DeMontmorency and by his brothers Joseph, Hoarse, George and Gordon Dukes. Dan was former owner/operator of Dukes Variety in Innerkip and was a veteran of WW II serving with the Elgin Regiment. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment later in the Innerkip Cemetery following cremation.
