SANDERS - After a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, January 20, 2007. Wilfrid F. Sanders of Alma Street Ingersoll in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Lillian G. Sanders (nee Simmons). Dear father of David and his wife Iris of Ingersoll. Loved grandfather of Natasha Lynne, Dayla Evelina and Ethan James. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Tom, Jim, Peter and his sister Catharine. Wilfrid served during WW II with the Royal Artillery. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 93 Lansdowne Avenue, Woodstock Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.longworthfuneralhome.com A Legion service under auspices Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock will be conducted on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
