MCLAREN - Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday, February 18, 2007. Bob "Red" G. McLaren of Hickson in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Pauline I. McLaren (nee Hall) for over 58 years. Dear father of Gene and his wife Mary Ann, Dave and his wife Kim all of Hickson and Laura Harmer and her husband Allen of RR#6, Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Chad (Jenny), Tracy, Sean, Jack, Tammy, Ian, Rob and great grandfather of Alexandra. Dear brother of Doreen Fishback of Hickson, nephew of Lucy McLaren of Woodstock and survived by several nieces and nephews. Red was an avid sportsman, was involved in minor hockey, baseball and loved to play golf. He was Past President of Woodstock Minor Hockey, a Past President and life member of the ORSA (Softball Association), was an inaugural member of the Woodstock Sports Celebrity Dinner Committee for 24 years and worked at Ralston Purina, Woodstock for over 41 1/2 years. Friends may call at the R.D. LONGWORTH FUNERAL HOME, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 p.m., where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Betty Jean Page officiating.
