VERNOOY - Peacefully, at Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, July 7, 2007, Cora Mary Vernooy (nee Vandewiel) of Sweaburg at the age of 50. Wife of Jim Vernooy. Mother of Erin, Mark (Danielle Vording), Keri (Ian Lopez), and the late Julie (1981). Daughter of John and Mary Vandewiel of Tillsonburg. Sister of Pauline Bucek (Joe) of Princeton, John Vandewiel (Zalatica) of Drumbo, Ted Vandewiel (Debbie) of Paris, and Ron Vendewiel (Corina) of Wolverton. Sister-in-law of Nick Vernooy (Betty) of Innerkip, Tersa Van Nes (Jack) of Stratford, Rev. Paul Vernooy of Scarborough, Mary de Jeu (Ted) of Woodstock, John Vernooy (Mary) of Bright, Corrie Vink (Bill) of Innerkip, Bill Vernooy (Pat) of Fort Erie, Pete Vernooy (Linda) of Woodstock, Betsy Coleman (Terry) of Ingersoll, Joe Vernooy (Joze) of St. Pauls, and the late Ann Van Gerwen (late Harry). Also predeceased by her parents-in-law, John and Cornelia Vernooy. Also lovingly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 904 Dundas Street, Woodstock on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation followed by interment later at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
