Smith, Betty Lou Myrtle (née Harkes) (Died)

SMITH - Betty Smith of Port Dover, suddenly at her residence on Thursday, July 12, 2007 in her 69th year. Beloved wife and best friend of Terry. Cherished mother of Steve England and Bonnie MacQuarry (Phil) all of Woodstock, step-mother of Terry Smith Jr of Tillsonburg, Marlene Herkimer (Ken) of Port Dover and Melissa Smith (Wayne) of LaSalette. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Harold Harkes (Hazel) of New Bruswick, Gord Harkes (Hilda) of Clinton, Doris Perrin of Waterloo, Doreen Troyer (George) of Clinton and Sherrin Digulla (Claude) of Listowel. Betty will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her step daughter Teresa Smith and brother-in-law Cecil Perrin. Betty was a great country music fan and she loved to sing. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a loving and thoughtful person with a kind spirit. Friends are invited for visitation at THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (519-583-1530) on Monday, July 16, 2007, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Betty's life will be Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 195 Victoria St., Simcoe.
