YECNY – Peacefully, after a brief illness, at Woodstock General Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2007, Zonie Barbara Yecny (nee Romanchuk) of Woodstock in her 98th year. Wife of the late William Yecny (1989). Survived by her youngest sibling, George Romanchuk of Saskatchewan, and predeceased by six brothers and three sisters. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Zonie was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church for over 70 years, as well as a member of the former Woodstock Senior Citizens Club and the CAW Local 636. She was an avid babysitter, cook, gardener, bowler, euchre player and dancer. A service to celebrate the life of Zonie Yecny will be held at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception. Cremation, followed by interment later at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated. Smith-LeRoy, (519) 537-3611.
