CRAIB - Douglas H. Craib of Woodstock in his 76th year, passed away at the Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, October 27, 2007, peacefully, after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Joan Helen Craib (nee Potter). Dear father of Harold Craib and his wife Simone of Woodstock and Jim Craib of Ayr. Loved grandfather of Matthew (Tanya), Michael and Lisa; Jordon, Evan and Eric and great grandfather of Kailey and Dylan. Dear brother of Betty Briggs, Jean Vincent and Alex Craib all of Nova Scotia. Doug worked with heavy machinery for King Brothers and with the City of Woodstock for 25 years. He was a respected member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association where he was a proud volunteer of the Club's Colour Party. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Joyce officiating. Interment later in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the VON Sakura House would be appreciated.
