NELSON, (nee Woodend) - At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 7, 2008. Joyce M. Nelson of Cambridge at the age of 63. Beloved wife of the late Jack Nelson (1996) and dearest best friend and companion of Thom McPherson. Loved sister of Jim Woodend and his wife Pat, Glenda Payne and her husband Jim, Derek Woodend and his wife Sandra, Kathy Woodend, and sister-in-law of Graham Ellerby. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Doris (Nicholls) Woodend, her sister Linda Ellerby (2007), and by Joyce and Thom’s “children”; Winston and Bailey. Joyce was a longtime employee of the Catholic School Board of Dufferin/Peel. Friends may call at the LONGWORTH FUNERAL HOME, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where the complete funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. Interment later in Cambridge following cremation.
