CAREY - At Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Monday, January 14, 2008, Donald Carey, of Ingersoll, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Verda (Wettlaufer) Carey. Dear father of Brian and his wife Kathy of London, Bradley of Courtney, B.C., Broderick of Ingersoll, Barton and his wife Esther of Ingersoll and Debbie Carey of Glencoe. Dear brother of Helen White of Woodstock. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one enroute. Don served with the Essex Scottish in World War II in Belgium, Holland and Germany. He became a Corporal while fighting in Holland and was very proud of his Regiment and service to his Country. Friends will be received at the McBEATH-DYNES FUNERAL HOME, 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll, Friday, January 18th 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, January 19, 2008 from 12 Noon to 1:30 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Carmen Holbrough officiating. Spring interment Harris Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Service on Friday at 6:45 p.m. auspices of Branch #119, Ingersoll.
