MACKENZIE - Peacefully, thoughtfully, uniquely and with inspired and uncanny timing in the arms of loved ones at his residence on Wednesday, February 27, 2008. David Alexander MacKenzie A.K.A: Crazy Legs / Dumbo / The Great One / Critic of Dense Verbless Sentences - of Caressant Care Retirement Home, Woodstock and formerly of Beachville in his 71st year. Dear long time friend of Rita Marsolais of Woodstock. Loving father of Kevin MacKenzie and his wife Melinda of Regina, Saskatchewan and Kenneth MacKenzie and his wife Kirsten of Okotoks, Alberta. Loved grandfather of Teagan, Lochlan and Brodie. Dear brother of Peter MacKenzie of Calgary, Andrew and his wife Annabell of Woodstock and brother-in-law George Schmidt of Kelowna, B.C. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Ken and Nelda (nee Miles) MacKenzie and sister Sandra Schmidt. Friends are invited to join with the family at the Country Kitchen, 676 Adelaide St., Woodstock on Saturday March 1, 2008 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. with a "Tales of Dave" Swap at 2:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated and may be arranged through the LONGWORTH FUNERAL HOME, Woodstock 519-539-0004.
