MEADOWS - Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital with his family at his side on Saturday, March 15, 2008, Walter “Walt” Cecil Meadows of Woodstock in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Pollock) for 57 years. Dear father of Terry Meadows (Donna Jean) of Belmont, Gayle McCallum (Douglas) of R.R.#7, Woodstock, and Heather Taylor of Woodstock. Loving grandfather of Christopher Meadows, Somer Meadows, Jason McCallum (Karma), Justin McCallum (Margaret), Jennifer Gowing (Dan Nichol), Aaron Murray and Shannon Murray. Papa Nono to Olivia Meadows; Papa Nana to Emily Gowing, Kaya Gowing, Lynsy Gowing-Nichol, and Brendan Nichol; and Pappy to Salma McCallum and Jannah McCallum. Dear bother of Wallace Meadows (Ellen) of Woodstock, June Searle of Woodstock, and Bruce Meadows (Lorna) of Beachville and brother-in-law of Beverly Armstrong (Barry) of Woodstock, Faith Lee (Brian) of Woodstock, Ronald Pollock (Gale) of Ingersoll, Lynda Pollock of Sarnia, and Don McKay of Port Royal. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Alice Meadows, grand daughter Carry Meadows, sisters-in-law Betty McKay and Donna Meadows, and brothers-in-law Harold Searle and Keith Pollock. A private family service was held at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, Woodstock with interment later at North Embro Cemetery.
