WARD, Dorothy Eva Ward - formerly of Stratford passed away peacefully at Leisureworld Nursing Home, Ingersoll on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in her 80th year. She was born in Halfway, Michigan on November 11, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Charles Parkins Sr. and the former Florence May Fry. Beloved wife of George Robert Ward who predeceased her on November 14, 1994. Loving mother of Sharon Sylvester and husband Brian of Stratford, Debbie Walters and husband Brian of Ingersoll, Kim Horn and husband Ron of Mitchell and Bill Ward and wife Tracy of Huron Park. Cherished grandmother of Josh Walters and wife Marlene, Jennifer Super and husband Brian, Trevor Sylvester and wife Sandy, Hilary, Holly and Garrett Horn and Aaron Ward. Also survived by six great-grandchildren, a brother Robert Parkins and wife Marion of Alberta, a sister May Boniface and husband Frank of British Columbia and many nieces and nephews and their families. As well as her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers Albert Parkins and Charles Parkins Jr. and sisters Iris Scott, Ivy Boniface and Marlene Mowry. Relatives and friends may call at the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. Rev. Charles Seed will officiate. Interment will be in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice through the funeral home at 1-519-271-5062.
