Wilford - Suddenly at his residence in Ingersoll on Saturday, April 5, 2008, Fred Wilford, in his 65th year, formerly of Salford. Beloved husband of Jean (McCready) Wilford. Dear father of Bill and his wife Karen of Salford and Mike and his wife Angie of Norwich. Dear grandfather of Allison, Rebecca, Emily, Dylen and Nathan. Dear brother of Blanche and her husband Bob Warboys of Huntsville, Gordon Wilford of Woodstock and Don Wilford and his wife Marie of Norwich. Dear brother-in-law of Bill and Marg McCready of Windsor. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Fred operated the service station in Salford for 32 years, was a councillor of the Township of Southwest Oxford for 9 years, a member of the Mt. Elgin Fire Department for 33 years being District Chief and Chief in Mt. Elgin for 26 years. He was Past Master of Dereham Lodge #624 and currently Master of St. John's Lodge #68, Ingersoll. Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames St. S., Ingersoll Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., where service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Bill Mayoros officiating assisted by Joe Daniel. Interment Harris Street Cemetery. Memorial donations to Trinity United Church Foundation or Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Masonic Lodge Memorial Service Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. auspices of St. John's Lodge #68 A.F. & A.M.
